Codenames – Word Association Party Game

Twenty-five words on the table. Two teams, two spymasters, and a grid only the spymasters can see showing which words belong to whom.

You give your team one word and one number. "Water, three." Now watch them agonise over whether you meant ocean, ice and river, or something else entirely — and pray they don't pick the assassin, because that ends the game on the spot.

It plays with four people or fourteen, and the best moments are the clues that were brilliant in your head and incomprehensible out loud.
